Job Summary:
Innovative Carbide is seeking individuals to collect, refine, mix and process carbide powder. Being a team player is essential, as all tasks will require close collaboration with those around you.
Essential Functions
- Comply with company safety policies and procedures
- Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility
- Wear assigned PPE to safely perform tasks
- Wear half facepiece reusable respirator throughout shift
- Wear steel-toed boots for the duration of shift
- Use of overhead crane
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude
- Report any and all injuries to immediate supervisor(s)
- Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Attend company sponsored training when necessary
- Adhere to all quality policies and procedures
- Report issues which may result in poor quality to Production Supervisor
- Sorting and grouping cans by grade
- Screen powder ensuring uniformity
- Add Cobalt and Virgin material to achieve required grade
- Load and unload attritors/dryers
- Fill, tie, and load carbide filled molds into hydraulic press
- Unload, scribe, and distribute billets to Shape Room
- Performs other duties as assigned or needed
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to read and write clearly and effectively
- Attention to detail
- Ability to receive and carry out verbal and written instructions given by management
- Must be able to wear a respirator throughout shift (face must be clean shaved)
